Just random thought about our gov't and justice system Part 2

Well this is about our justice system and just my thoughts. I work within the prison system and for those that think it's really bad being behind bars you might want to think again. Don't get me wrong getting arrested abd sent to prison is not a good thing because once you get out it s really tough to get a job...That is unless you were igh in power or a Martha Stewart anyways I think you get the point.
Life behind bars is not all fun and games because you can't come and go as you please and you have to live in a cell with someone you really don't know and it only being 8 x 12 and you don't have a seperate room with a toilet so you have to go in front of your cellmate when locked in your cell for the night. You alos have officers checking your cell for things you are not suppose to have a couple times a month so you really have no privacy.

But on the other side of the coin you have your support dropped while in and only have to pay about 10 dollars a month. If you have people sending money to your account every month you don't even need to work within the prison and if you buy a tv and you pay cable 16 dollars a month thats not a bad deal because I know I pay 80 plus for my monthly tv bill.
If you get sick and have to go see the doc you pay a 5 dollar co pay and believe it or not some guys in jail actually try to get aids because if they are not doing life they will get out and if they get aids while in the system will pay all your medical bills for the rest of their lives and also pay them a certain amount of cash each month.

I think it is strange that if you are caught selling or making drugs you get  about 10 yrs average sentence and I know there are guys in jail for raping young kids and only get a couple yrs. I feel if someone molest a child or rapes a woman they should be castrated and spend many yrs in jail, But that's just my opion. As for time in jail most are allowed to go to school, the gyms and when nice out go out to the main yard to lift weights or play hand ball or B ball or f ball even bochi and they spend on the average of 15 hrs out of their cells and only about 9 in them,

I can not understand our system because you have these lawyers that take on clients to sue for the dumbest things. If you are a coffee drinker and drive to a drive thru and order a coffee you damn sure know it is hot. That case should have never made it into a lawyers office to begin with but it did and the scum lawyer actually won the case and I also blame the system for not allowing the courts to say this is bullshit and thrown it out and charged the defendent and lawyer for wasting tax payers money on junk like that. Should I be able to sue a company for making a lawn mower and one day I deside to stick my hand under when the mower is running and say I didn't know the blades would cut my hand off?

I think the suing of people and companies is way out of hand. For real there was a family that sued a ammuntion company ( mind you this was after the gov't said she could sue) because her son was shot to death when a drug deal went wrong. And yes she won and they was a family that sued a ammunition company for making bullets that are armor percing and her husband was shot and killed while in the line of duty. I feel she should have been able to sue but she should have also been able to sue the gov't for allowing the comapny to make them. Granted they said they were only suppose to be in the hands of law officals but this is why they will never get me to surrender my guns because as Austraila found out when they band all guns the only ones that had them were law officers and crooks and crime went thru the roof.

All these laws need to be reevaulrated and once you are sent to jail you give up all rights to that state because as it is now criminals have more rights then law abiding people. That's the bottom line and if you don't think so ask any law enforcment officer or lawyers that try to send crooks to jail and you will find most hate the justice system because of this very reason. I understand the Miranda rights and why it came about just look up Miranda vs Az case from the 50's but since then criminals have to many rights and this brings me to the death sentence.

On average it cost approximately 40 to 50 thousand a year to house a inmate. And those on death row more then not die of old age rather then by the hands of the state. Although Tx is leading the states in the most put to death but non the less it is a long process. With all the appeals a convict gets and how slow it takes the system to look at all the appeals in some states can take well over 20 years. Once a convict is sentenced to be put to death they should have a max of 5 to 7 yrs to file all their appeals and with todays technoligy and the advance of DNA  this should be no problem. And when all appeals are completed and were denied then they should be given a date as to when they will be put to death and should never be given a requested last meal, I mean think about it if they are on death row it is pretty obvious they murderd 1 or more people and I am pretty sure they didn't give their victims a last meal.

Colorado has a super max where guys are locked down 23/7 with just a hour of exercise if they choose to exercise and these are people that will never ever get out of jail but the state paid a lot of money so that while sitting in their cells can take college courses and even earn a masters degree. How many people do you think would have voted to spend their tax dollars on this had it been brought to a vote.

Again these are just my thoughts and opions on these matters.

Just some random thoughts about our gov't and justice system Part 1

First let me say I did vote for Obama......... Let me explain before you think about pulling the gun out and shooting me. I feel that when Obama and Mcain were running that it was more of a vice president race because of Palin and Biden. She was not the best person to take offise if something happened to Mcain and Biden I feel would be better to take on office should something happen to Obama.
But do to the way this country was and still is thanks to Bush and a few past presidents, No matter who took office was in for a very unfriendly task of trying to turn this country around. First and foremost the people that headed main companies that caused the wall street dive bomb should all be in jail and all of their assests and property should have been taken from them and if all thier properties and vehicles were in other family members living with them still should have been taken and these people should never be allowed to hold any type of job that pays more then minimum wage once they do get out of jail. These same people that caused this will only be doing a short time in jail (which is not all that bad as some think and I will explain this later as to how I know this) and their families are still living the high life and so will they when they get out.

as for our gov't well this is a real thorn in my side because as middle class on down are struggling to make ends meet by working 2 jobs and many married couples are working either a 3rd job or both working 2 jobs so there is less time for them to properly raise their children with being out of the house for such long periods each day and not much time to spend with the kids. Obama care is loosing ground and should be. Think about it he and his advisors say it's the best thing but if that is the case then I feel they should have saud just to show it is the best "we" as you're gov't will make this our health plan also..... But no it's not good enough for them just the common people.

I feel that our gov't should be the first to take pay cuts and also have to pay for their health care and pay into their retierment the same as we do and I am a firm believer that out gov't should have to work 20 plus yrs in some type of political office before they can collect their pensions just as we do, or they only get a 2 1/2 percent towards their retirement and if they get booted out of office they can only collect a pension based on the yrs of service And can not collect it until age 60.

Just like all businesses they should have to fill out the paperwork for all their expenses reimbursed only after they return from their trips and only be allowed what a average meal would cost for each meal and either have a gov't gas card or only get the going rate for milage. Being they have a expense package of 50 to 250,000 dollars per year is ludicris. And they don't need the top of the line cars and suv's either, I think they should have to rent a car and then get reimbursed after turning in the proper paperwork.

If they truely want to work for the people of this country I feel they would be more then willing to drop their expense package and get reimbursed for their trips. But we know that won't happen. Also I feel that they should not be able to give themselves pay raises. I think it should be the people voting on what raise if any they should get. The common man is lucky if the company they work for gives them a 10 to 25 cent raise each yr and being the gov't only works 200 days out of the yr  this would actually only qualify as a part time job.

Foreign aid.. I feel that this country should stop giving foreign aid to other countries until this country gets it's money problems taken care of first. This country gives aid to 157 countries and are writing checks they can't cash. It was said that if our gov't found out Pakastan knew Bin Laden was living in their country they would stop aid to them. Well over the last 10 yrs this country has given Pakastan over 33 billion dollars and their is no way Pakastan did not know he was living practically next door to their gov't. But guess what we are still giving them money. When was the last time a foreign country gave money to our country for lets say 9/11 or Katrina or Irene just to name a few. I feel that no monies should be given to any country without the common people vote on giving other countries any money. I do realize the need for public relations with other countries but be for real about what little money this country has...opps I mean don't have.

Ok well these are just my opions and thoughts on our goverment...Part 2 to follow about our justice system.
